Saying “No Homo” All The Damn Time Screams “Yes I’m Secretly Scared I’m Homo”

This post is inspired by a conversation I read in a chat room recently. During most of the discussions about sex the males seem to have to say “no homo” when commenting about anything involving anal(with a woman),threesome with 2 males, and sometimes just to say it. I’ve been in sexual conversations with men who have said it at the end of each sentence.Why I understand the origin of this ”no homo” craze, I have to say some of these males who use No Homo are really…HOMO!! Hear me out before you flood my inbox with hate mail.

When Lil Wayne or Camron say No Homo it got old real quick. When you say No Homo it  seems desperate to prove your heterosexuality. I can understand saying it once as a joke  but after every damn sexually suggestive statement does nothing to prove how masculine you are. The Hip Hop Culture which has raised many fatherless black men prides itself on misogynistic views and ideals. No Homo just adds to the list of things that is wrong with how a lot (NOT ALL) black men view sexuality. I think many have a warped definition on what homosexuality is so I am going to give you a clear understanding of what it is.

Definition of HOMOSEXUAL

HAVING SEX WITH THE SAME SEX!!!!!! Not having anal sex with your gf or wife, not complimenting a guy on his shoes or saying something nice to another male, not having a threesome with a woman and another male and you and the other male don’t touch!! None of that was in the definition. If  you do not have a sexual desire for men than guess what? Saying “No Homo” is useless.Your not gay, awesome you don’t have to put it out there all the damn time. There are people who are homosexual and in my opinion its offensive to them.  Being gay isn’t a negative. But if your saying No Homo you probably don’t think about that anyway. A man who is sure in his sexuality doesn’t need to express it all the time. He can be himself and not have to reassure anyone he is anything less than straight. Saying “No Homo” all the time comes out looking as if you’re having to cover up something. It’s the same as a person robbing a bank yet screaming the whole time “No I’m not robbing this bank” multiple times. The more you say it doesn’t change the fact that you are robbing a bank! if your saying No Homo in every conversation I have no question to ask? Who are you trying to convince your not gay? the person you are talking to or yourself?
