The Single Life- Start From The Start

It’s a new year, new start blah blah. Everyone states they are ready for a change and to press the reset button on their life. Especially their love life. No more being used and abused, putting your heart on the front curb to have it be ran over and splashed on by dirty rain water. This year you are going to do it right…right? Many will make a bold proclamation to be single in 2012 to get back to them or to find themselves. Many have just given up on love and some well as soon as I type this period on the end of this sentence  will be on to the next one.

Let’s face it being single is hard. No one wants to do it but we all at some point in our lives will have to do it. In 2011 we saw more celebs dropping the divorce statement more than a new hit single or movie. I saw relationship status changing on facebook so much that it was becoming an everyday occurence. With so many people now finding themselves a party of one, what do you do now? What good can come from being single?

I, Nikki True, am single! I am amongst the party of one people. I, just like you, hear people say take your single time to find who you are, to do you. WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT MEAN????? I have grown to hate that saying because no one explains the details. How do I “find” me? What about the lonely moments and the horny moments? How do I handle being single and still be sane? Do I need to start buying cats and ugly sweaters?  Through my series The Single Life I’ll be taking you on my journey of single-dom. My own personal highs and lows, triumphs and trials, tears for fears(80′s reference). I’ll be honest while being informative hoping you get some help or even a laugh at my personal single life stories. Will I find love, maybe. Will I find me, uh If I’m lost then I hope so. Will It be fun, hell yeah. So stay tuned in and turned on. 2012 is the year of The Single Life!
