I had the pleasure of interviewing the charasmatic Imani The Misfit, the first openly bisexual rapper on Nikki True Live. We speak on his music, his erotic masturbation films and his challenges as an openly bisexual male rapper in hip-hop, as well as the many misconceptions and stigmas surrounding male bisexuality.
It was one of my most interesting yet informative interviews to date. If you missed it click play and get tuned in and turned on.
Imani the Misfit is an American rapper, record producer, singer- songwriter, keyboardist, drummer, fashion designer, actor and x-rated model from Maryland. Imani has been featured on Washington City Paper, Examiner.com, Windy City Times, Adult Video Network (AVN), Bi-Social Network, Diversity Rules Magazine, Connextions Magazine and many other publications as well as over 40 different internet radio stations as Maryland’s first openly bisexual male rapper.Imani built a reputation for himself through the internet as an arrogant, intelligent, yet comedian-like character by promoting his music and pornography while taunting his peers in religious and social debates. It is his alternative and sometimes extreme views of the world that has helped to establish his buzz. His most recent and controversial stunts include the release of two erotic short films in 2012, entitled “Masturbation Is Healthy 4.0″ and “Masturbation Is Healthy 5.0″.
In the past he shocked fans with his confessions of being bisexual, and the release of podcasts with titles like “Men Who Suck Dick Are Hot”, (which gained 100,000 views on YouTube before being banned) and podcasts with anti-religious titles “Fuck The Bible” and “Fuck God”, which have also been banned from YouTube. Additionally, in his hometown of the Washington DC area, he went on a promotional campaign in which he stood at Metro Stations and shopping malls wearing wigs and holding up a “MISFIT” sign, while selling his CD’s. On Martin Luther King Day of 2011, he released an essay entitled “Martin Luther King Was A Misfit”, which diagnosed the character of MLK and described the civil rights leader as a rebel. On Christmas of 2010, he released the music video for “Promotion Team” in which he is shown dancing half naked at the Arlington Cemetery Metro Station and also doing splits and cartwheels in front of the US Capitol. Although his reputation has gotten him banned from countless websites and blackballed from certain areas of the hip-hop industry, his persona has established a notoriety and lasting impression in the minds of all who come in contact with him.minds of all who come in contact with him
In the world of Hip Hop rappers are often limited to either being a “conscious rapper” or “Trill and thuggish” rapper. Some chose to stay within the box, but Moufpece Da Rippa has managed to tear the box down and build a new foundation. He understands the streets yet knows knowledge is power. With his latest project Tattoo’s And Hoodies he gives you the gritty hood life with intelligent collegiate metaphor and wordplay. This MC has something for everyone! In my candid interview I get to the root of what makes this Down To Earth lyricist stay on top of his game.
Thank you for taking the time out get Raw And Uncut with me. Start by telling my True Loves a little bio about yourself?
Well I was born in SA, Texas raised in OKC,OK. Did a lot of growing up in different places, seeing different cultures and traveling, thats always played a part in the type of music i make.. I used to be heavily into sports but always had a passion for music, I always been a fan until I began to get my own, then I started taking my talent serious. So here I am.
When did you fall in love with hip hop and decided to make this a career?
I fell in love when I took my first steps as a child (which was to dance to music)….so my momma says haha! I started taking it serious my junior year in high school back in 2002, but I was still learning…I’m still learning.
What was the first rap album you can remember buying? How did that influence you and your music today?
OUTKAST album “Aquemini” is the first and only purchase I can recall, tho I made many more… Outkast influenced me greatly to the point I got em tatted on me! I love their uniqueness and the way they reinvent themselves. They’ve always had that thought provoking music and I needed that in my life.
What is the meaning behind Treelife? When did you start Down To Earth Records and what do you hope to accomplish with both in the future?
TREELIFE; means growth, unity, positivity, being strong, being courageous, standing against the odds…Its similar to A$AP Rocky’s ASAPMOB…it can mean whatever u want it to mean. However it applies to you and your lifestyle. As far as DOWN TO EARTH, it was founded by Ethan Harlan (CEO/Author) and started as a publishing company. Me and his relative Leroy “Spock B” Ezell branched off and started DOWN TO EARTH MUSIC GROUP(DTEMG) along with childhood friends YD, 2Hunit, 30G, 2Jonesy, and Q-Karintino. We hope to obtain a distribution deal with a parent label. You know, travel, do shows, get money, etc etc DO WHAT WE LOVE TO DO!
With the ever changing landscape of hip hop as a culture and rap music how do you stay aligned with it?
By rapping about life. Everyday is inspiration, we are surrounded by influences. I just keep my faith in God and surround myself with good people who want what I want out of life….and thats to be successful and leave a legacy. Between the fans and keeping that in mind…it keeps me going.
When I listen to your songs I hear a vast difference in beats and rhyme patterns. I hear some 9th wonder influence yet I also hear David banner. Do you want to offer different sounds or do you have a signature sound your going for?
Well up to this point I was just experimenting with sounds so to speak .Everything is true, everything is me, it was just a form of brainstorming on these past mixtapes in my eyes. Now I think I’m finally carving my own niche in the game. I would like to call my new lane….REVOLUTIONARY BUT GANGSTA. Yes, a gangsta with a conscious….wit a splash of LL Cool J influence LOL.
Do you feel that rap music is going backwards as far as going back to being about lyricist or moving into a more pop oriented direction?
Its getting back to the essence of MCing but its moving in a new direction. As in, artist touching on new subjects or issues. Artist being more in touch with reality and how they feel. Its getting more abstract I think…
Do you strive to sign with a major label or do you want to maintain a independent approach to your music?
I want to remain independent with major backing (promotion). Ive always envisioned being the boss. I’m a leader. I want to be in charge and that wont happen under a MAJOR Label’s umbrella.
Oklahoma is still a unknown market for hip hop yet in the last few years we have seen an emergence of new rap music and artist on the scene. Do you feel like the more people we have the more light will be shed on the region or do you believe the market is becoming over-saturated?
It remains to be seen honestly. My opinion is that its over-saturated with bullshit, not good artist. True MC’s are scarce. They exist and few get known but its so much bullshit you don’t get to hear those people unless you dig deep beyond the surface. As far as my state, Oklahoma is holding Oklahoma down, I’ve reached out to so many artist before I got to this point with no reply. Now they knocking at my door. Its more of a competition than it is a team effort.
How can someone book Moufpece Da Rippa for shows and how do you stay in touch with your fans?
By hitting Spock B at (405) 971-4741, Poochi at (843) 476-2766, or Navigator at (405) 409-7556. I stay in touch with fans mainly through FB (Julio MPdarippa Burgante) and Twitter (@MOUFPECEDARIPPA) but they can contact me on Reverbnation and Jango Airplay just by searching my name spelled correctly. If you could only do one sexual position for the rest of your life what would it be?
I’m very creative when it comes to positions so I don’t know…missionary is boring, doggystyle is played out. I would say picking her up and banging her like the ball connected to a string and paddle HAHAHA! Fold her ass like a flapjack!
Name the craziest place you have been given oral sex?
Oooooo ummmmm, its a tie between a strangers bathroom and a strip club.
Oral Sex: Rather give than receive or rather receive than give?
Receive LOL shit I take that over pussy any day if the head right!
Ass or Titties
ASSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!
What is your definition of an independent woman?
A woman that cooks, cleans, pays her own bills, buys what she wants or needs when or if needed, has a job, goals, and ambition and has her own place and whip. She take care of herself, she don’t want a man, don’t need a man. HAHA!
What do you like to hear a woman call you during sex?
PAPI!!!
What non sexual quality turns you on the most?
Intelligence.
If one of your female fans had a chance to have a night of sexual pleasure with you what would she be getting? Describe in detail
First she would walk in a room full of candles and incense . With champagne or green or both, whatever she prefers, sitting by a fireplace. First I would slowly remove her clothes and rub her body down with oil. Then make a trail of chocolate syrup from her neck, down her spine, to her ass, pass her legs , on down to her feet and lick every inch off dry. Turn her over and wrap her legs around my head and lick and suck every juice out her body till she screams, shit maybe even a 69 and see who taps out first. From that point on, lets say its Jason’s LYRIC meets the first sex scene in BELLY (Bunz). Use your imagination and I will fulfill your fantasy.

Today Nikki True gets inside the mind of this sexy, smart, intelligent young woman and see why she’s a True Diva….
About 5 or 6 years ago, my friend Alfonzo Spigner introduced me to a guy named Quiwe of Lights, Camera, Fashion and they introduced me to the world of modeling! They would host Model Mondays, an event where models could come out and network with photographers, artists and each other. I did my first fashion show with them and instantly fell in love with the runway. From there, I became an LC Model and have been pushing my way to the top ever since.
Now I know you are Miss O City congrats by the way thats a very great achievement. How did that come about and give us more info about what Miss O City is?
Thank you so much!! I had seen a post on fb about the Miss O’ City pageant and that they were looking for contestants, so I applied! I always rep the Southside whenever possible so why not rep it while holding the crown? I had to submit an essay stating how the hip hop culture has influenced my life and submit a talent video. I did the Beyonce “Single Ladies” dance! Much love to Sherrard, “Boyonce,” for working with me on the dance!
Being Miss O’ City I will be the ambassador for the urban and hip hop community for OKC and bring together the local artist scene by showing others that supporting one another is key.
With you being in the modeling industry you have seen how some people use being a manager as a way to get girls. How do you deal with men hitting on you who claim to be photographers and managers?
That is a pet peeve of mine! I have so much respect for the men out there who are really just business oriented. For the most part, I’ve dealt with men who have been respectful. I prefer to work with photographers that others have worked with, so I know what I’m getting into before I get into it, but I let them know off top, I’m here to work. I think that’s why I get along with Hitt (CEO of LC Enterprises) so well. He’s never came at me like that and has always been respectful. That’s who I shoot with
mostly.
do you feel Myspace and Facebook have changed the modeling industry? Is it for the better or for the worse?
I believe that it has. Since Fb and Myspace its a lot easier to get a foot in the door and have people see your work, I call it my online portfolio. I booked a job in the Bay Area, due to Myspace. Someone saw my pic and liked what they saw and I went out there and shot with a well known photographer. That’s also how I was picked up for LC. Social Networks are a major marketing tool. It has changed for the better because there’s now more of a chance to book jobs and find out about castings a lot easier, but it has also changed for the worse because now everybody wants to model!! Then you have these girls that feel that bending over in front of the cam is modeling, when not all models are like that. I’ve had sexy shoots, but I know how to keep it classy. Not all models dream to be a video girl. My dream is to be on the cover of a fashion magazine or walk the runway during Fashion Week in NYC!!
How do you balance being in the entertainment industry and being a mom?
It’s a balance but I’m making it!! I have family and friends that help me tremendously when they can. Usually when I book a photoshoot or have a show, its weeks in advance so I have a chance to have everything in line. I try to plan ahead! My daughter has been at a shoot with me before though so I take her with me when appropriate.
How would someone go about booking you for promo’s,music videos, fashion shows or any type of networking?
You can contact me via Fb- facebook.com/tamikawoodard or via email- tamikalwoodard@yahoo.com
Now my blog is about sex and since you are oh so sexy I want you to give my male readers some insight into how to get Tamika off. You Game?
